About Kaye

Kaye MolloyHaving been raised on a farm in Ireland, I’ve always had a great love of the outdoors, plants, gardening and wildlife. The name Kappa Lye comes from the Gaelic words Ceapach Laoi, the name given to fields on our farm meaning flat grazing pastures. I was drawn back to the world of gardening during a career break from my work in Corporate Governance. I went on to study Garden Design and Horticulture, graduating 2007. To boost my plant knowledge, I worked as a part-time horticultural volunteer at Kew Gardens over a three year period. I also enjoyed working on the Green Team of my childrens’ primary school.

Most of my projects come through personal recommendation, and, I take great care to listen carefully to clients’ needs and wishes. My design philosophy is to link a house and garden to its surroundings, and to create a garden which reflects the owners’ individuality.  Every client and every garden is different, and I enjoy that variety.  I work with professional landscapers and specialist craftspeople to help bring my designs to life and I like to involve my clients in this process.
